Sidney Dance Company

Sidney Dance Company strives to provide dance education, performance opportunities, community outreach, and appreciation for the performing arts in Shelby County and throughout the surrounding areas.

It was with this in mind that Sharon Arnold and six of her young dance students began the development of a repertory dance group in 1980. Growing to fifteen members by late 1980, the company started performing for local service clubs, schools, and other organizations in and around Sidney. The enthusiasm with which these performances were received resulted in the State of Ohio fully chartered, non-profit organization, Sidney Dance Company.

Today, SDC is divided into two levels, Company I and Company II, with all dancers striving for the same goal: to create appreciation and show the importance of the arts in Shelby County.

The Sidney Dance Company's next season begins July 1st, 2021. We have many exciting events and performances planned for the upcoming season! Please check back frequently to follow our involvement with the Sidney-Shelby County community and beyond.
